Week 1 Thinking Maps & Story of the Lost Boys assignment:
We completed the following activities and then students turned their work in for points:
1- Create a T-Chart of info with the title "Where I've Been" and list all the places you have lived and visited and include the context in which the apply to your life.
2- Create a Dobule Bubble Map that compares where you have been to another classmate.
3- Create a T-Chart of info as we watch the NBC Dateline special "The Lost Boys of Sudan". One side should summarize info about the Lost Boys BEFORE they came to American, and the other side should summarize info about the Lost Boys WHEN they came to America.

Week Two: Ganges River Video Clip Summary
In paragraph form, summarize how the Ganges River is significant to the religion of Hinduism, and concerns some have about the river today. Use the T-Chart of info you should have in your notebook. (See Notebook Activity #2)
Hindu Culture News Articles: Students read the articles and answer the questions that went along with them.
Week four Video Essay Summary: Let Her Die
Using your video questions and information we covered in our class discussion write a four paragraph essay that includes the following:
Intro: Explain what female infanticide is
Explain the main causes for it in Hindu society in India
Explain what problems this is causing in India today
Conclusion paragraph
This will be entered into the assessment category in the the gradebook.
